What
are other benefits receivable under Workers' Compensation?
The following benefits may also be awarded in a compensation case. They include:
- Serious and permanent disfigurement (including scarring)
- Vocational re-training
- Death benefits limited to 20 years of weekly benefits or $250,000, whichever is greater; this is payable to the surviving spouse, child, or children under 18 or students under age 25, and to incapacitated children, or total dependent parents.
- Penalties awarded by the Industrial Commission for frivolous, unreasonable, or vexatious (without sufficient grounds and serving only to cause annoyance) delay in payment or non-payment of temporary total disability compensation, or compensation rendered under an award.
